Dedicated to the prevention of domestic violence crimes against high school- and college-age women.
|
Abigail Robertson was murdered in December, 2007. Her parents have established a foundation in her honor in an effort to prevent domestic violence against young women.
Abby's Voice will:
-
Educate high school- and college-age women on the dangers of domestic violence, since younger women are equally at risk.
-
Provide direction to these young women on what to do if they feel an attack is imminent. There are actions that can be taken.
-
Provide education and direction to the parents of at-risk young women.
-
Educate the community on the economics of preventing violent crimes.
-
Put pressure on law enforcement, district attorneys and our legislators to focus more of their attention and funding on prevention. Abby's Voice will set a new example of investing in the prevention of violent crimes, to improve the quality of life at a lower cost than our current punishment-based system.

LBF, in conjunction with our 12 year old team from 2007, would like to dedicate our new blocking sled in memory of
Abigail Robertson.
Abby was tragically killed in December 2007. Her brother, Jacob, played Bobcat football from ages 8-12.
This purchase was made possible by the donation of a surplus of funds from the fundraising efforts from our 2007 12 year old team along with LBF's matched funds.
We are extremeley excited about our new training equuipment!
Thank you 2007 12's players, coaches and parents!!
