Early Registration is NOW OPEN!!

Please read the important information below

The Lafayette Bobcat Football (LBF) registration process is completely online for 2011.  It allows our Bobcat families to register and pay via credit card, and help reduce our mailing and administrative costs.  The hard copy forms previously used, including the Registration Form, Parent & Player Agreements, and Medical Consent, will all be handled online.

If you still wish to pay by check, you will be able to register online and complete all forms, with instructions to mail your payment to the Registration Coordinator.

If you are unable or unwilling to use our online registration system, you can still download and mail in the old hardcopy forms.  However we strongly encourage the use of the online registration system.  It's fast, convenient, and there are no additional costs to register using this method.

Please contact our Registration Coordinator, Lori Naranjo, with any questions or if you need assistance.

Registration Guidelines

ANY PLAYER (New or Returning) may register EARLY, beginning May 15, 2011 for $125.   Payment must be received online (credit card) or your check postmarked by June 15th to qualify for this discount.

After June 15, the registration fee is $145.  The registration fee covers registration and equipment, including practice and game pants, one set of pants pads, shoulder pads, helmet, mouth guard, and game jersey.  All equipment except mouth guard must be returned at season's end.

The equipment deposit is $250, and must be presented in the form of a check, payable to Lafayette Bobcat Football, at the to-be-scheduled uniform hand-out.  The Uniform Deposit is held with your equipment checkout card and returned to you when the equipment is returned (clean and in good condition) at the end of the season. There is a $20 fee on all returned checks.  Please see the Fees, Refund Policy and Uniform Agreement for additional details.

RETURNING PLAYERS:  All registration forms need to be completed and fees paid by June 15th in order to retain your position on the roster.  Returning players should have a birth certificate already on file.  You will be notified if one is needed.

NEW PLAYERS:   New players registering EARLY will have a "pending status" until June 15th (giving returning players priority on rosters).  After June 15th, registration opens to all city of Lafayette residents* on a first come, first served basis. New players on "pending status," because of early registration, will be placed on the roster based on their date of online registration, or postmarked date on their registration envelope if manually submitted.  New participants must provide 2 copies of their Birth Certificate for proof of age prior to being granted a roster spot.

*NOTE: Only Lafayette residents can participate in the LBF, with very limited exceptions.  All teams participating in the Coal Creek Midget Football League (CCMFL) have strict residency boundary guidelines to determine player / team eligibility. Residents outside these boundaries wishing to play for LBF will need to present their intentions in writing to the LBF Board.  If you have questions regarding this process, please call or email our Registration Coordinator, found on the Contacts page on this website.  As of May 2011, players from former CCMFL chapters (Broomfield and Brighton) are eligible to play for LBF, with some restrictions.  Please contact the Registration Coordinator for details.

Players are not eligible to play until all fees are paid in FULL, forms are completed, and birth certificates are on file. "Not Eligible" means the participant is not allowed to participate in any LBF activity, including practices and games.

Scholarships

It is the philosophy of LBF that any child who would like to play football is able to, regardless of economic situation.  To that end, LBF has partial scholarships available, where players may be eligible for reduced registration fees.

If a player is unable to pay the full registration fee, a Scholarship Application (click the link to download a copy) MUST be completed for a Confidential review by the President, Vice President, and Treasurer of the LBF Board, prior to the player participating in the first practice.  If a scholarship is granted, the full Uniform Deposit is still required of the participant.  There are instructions on the form to mail the application to the private LBF mailbox, care of the Board President.

Please contact the LBF President if you are planning to submit a Scholarship Application.  Identities of those seeking scholarships are kept in strict confidence.
