2009 Registration

Each participant is required to complete the following required forms for Registration in LBF:

ANY PLAYER (New or Returning) may register EARLY for $115 (must be received by June 15th). After June 15, the registration fee will be $125. The equipment deposit is $250. We require that the Registration Fee and the Uniform Deposit be provided in 2 separate checks payable to the LBF. The Uniform Deposit is held with your equipment checkout card and returned to you when the equipment is returned (clean and in good condition) at the end of the season. The registration fee check will be cashed. There is a $20 fee on all returned checks.

RETURNING PLAYERS: All registration forms need to be completed and fees paid by June 15th in order to retain your position on the roster. Returning players should have a birth certificate already on file. You will be notified if one is needed.

NEW PLAYERS: New players registering EARLY will have a "pending status" until June 15th (giving returning players priority on rosters). After June 15th, registration opens to all city of Lafayette residents* on a first come, first served basis. New players on "pending status," because of early registration, will be placed on the roster based on their postmarked date on their registration envelope. New participants must provide 2 copies of their Birth Certificate for proof of age.

*NOTE: ONLY Residents of Lafayette can participate in the Lafayette Bobcat Football League. All teams participating in the CCMFL have strict residency boundary guidelines to determine player / team assignment. Residents outside these boundaries wishing to participate in the LBF will need to present their intentions in writing to the LBF Board for a CCMFL vote. Players are not eligible to play until all fees are paid in FULL, forms are completed, and birth certificates are on file. "Not Eligible" means the participant is not allowed to participate in any LBF activity including practices and games.

Scholarships

It is the philosophy of the Lafayette Bobcat Football League that anyone who would like to play football is able to regardless of economic situation. To that end, the Lafayette Bobcats organization has partial scholarships available, where players may be eligible for reduced registration fees.

If a player is unable to pay the registration fee, a Scholarship Application MUST be completed for a Confidential review by the President, Vice President, and Treasurer of the LBF Board. If a partial scholarship is granted, the full Uniform Deposit is still required of the participant.
