WE ARE Bobcats

Meet a Legendary Team
The Lafayette Bobcats have been putting kids on the field for over 65 years. We're a youth football program for ages 6-14, providing the real deal: full pads, full contact, 11v11 football on a regulation 100 yard field.
This legacy means we have a strong support system built into the organization; multiple generations of Bobcats can regularly be seen at our games and are a testament to our sense of family and community.
"NOBODY WHO EVER GAVE HIS BEST REGRETTED IT.”
― George S. Halas

Why We Play
We teach the fundamentals of blocking, tackling, throwing and catching, but the kids also learn teamwork, dedication and the fruits of hard work. They gain confidence and a sense of accomplishment that grows each week through the season.
Our objective is to provide participants with the training and instruction to develop their skills and knowledge so they may perform at their optimum level during competitive league competition. In addition to teaching football skills, LBF helps develop sportsmanship, teamwork and confidence.

Our Mission as Instructors
We're committed to playing the game of football the RIGHT way: with sportsmanship, integrity and safety. The coaches are required to complete training every year to ensure they teach proper technique to the players and conduct practice in the best way to reduce injuries.
We strive to keep the Bobcats' annual fee the lowest in the area and let the players keep their jerseys forever. We award scholarships to those in need, commensurate with our belief that every child should get to play, regardless of any financial hardship.
